Quick dials are the Mongotel Softphone version of speed dials.

Desktop

This process is the same for both Windows and Mac OS desktops.

Here’s how you can create quick dials for use in the Mongotel Softphone app on either Windows or Mac operating systems.

Step 1: Click “Contacts.”

Step 2: Make sure the dropdown field is set to “Quick Dial.”

Here’s what it looks like in Windows:

Step 3: Click the plus icon.

Step 4: In the Display Name field, enter your contact’s name.

Step 5: In the URI field, enter your contact’s phone number or extension.

Step 6 (Optional): Enable BLF.

Step 7: Click “Save.”

Step 8: Verify that your quick dial saved correctly.

Here’s how you can create quick dials for use in the Mongotel Softphone app on iOS devices.

Step 1: Tap “Quickdial.”

Step 2: Tap the plus icon.

Step 3: In the Title field, enter your contact’s name.

Step 4: In the Phone Number field, enter your contact’s phone number or extension.

Step 5 (Optional): Enable BLF.

Step 6: Tap “Save.”

Step 7: Verify that your quick dial saved correctly.

Here’s how you can create quick dials for use in the Mongotel Softphone app on Android devices.

Step 1: Tap the quick dial icon.

Step 2: Tap the plus icon.

Step 3: In the Title field, enter your contact’s name.

Step 4: In the “Phone number” field, enter your contact’s phone number or extension.

Step 5 (Optional): Enable BLF.

Step 6: Tap the check button.

Most of the information in the app is saved locally and is not synced between devices. If you save a quick dial on your iPhone, it will not appear on your Mac OS desktop.

Quick dials are saved locally for as long as you remain signed in. You can turn off or restart your device and close the app without fear of deleting your quick dials. But, if you sign out or reset your app (through the Settings menu), all locally saved data on the device will be removed. That includes your quick dials.
