How to Enable BLF in the Mongotel Softphone App

Busy lamp field (BLF) lights are indicators that show a user’s status on a communication system. In Mongotel’s case, green means idle and red means busy.

If you created all your quick dials before learning about BLF, don’t fret! This guide will teach you how to enable BLF for existing contacts.

Desktop

Step 1: Go to your Contacts page and click to edit a quick dial.

Step 2: Toggle on “Enable BLF.”

Enable BLF: On.

Step 3: Click “Save.”

Android

Step 1: Go to your Contacts page and click to edit a quick dial.

Step 2: Toggle “Busy Lamp Field” on.

Step 3: Tap the check mark to save.

iOS

Step 1: Go to your Contacts page and click to edit a quick dial.

Step 2: Toggle “Busy Lamp Field” on.

Step 3: Tap “Save.”


Wrap-Up

Repeat this process for each quick dial you’d like to include BLF. To save time in the future, consider toggling on BLF when creating quick dials.
