How to Delete Quick Dials in the Mongotel Softphone App

Quick dials are the Mongotel Softphone version of speed dials.

Quick dials deleted through this process cannot be reactivated. They are permanently gone, but you can always remake them from scratch.

Sick of looking at those old quick dials that you haven’t touched in months? You’re not alone! Plenty of people change who they call most frequently. With that in mind, we’ve made deleting unwanted quick dials as easy as possible.

Desktop

This process is the same for both Windows and Mac OS desktops.

Here’s how you can delete quick dials in the Mongotel Softphone app on either Windows or Mac operating systems.

Step 1: Click “Contacts.”

Step 2: Right-click the quick dial.

Step 3: Click “Delete.”

Step 4: Click “Yes.”

Here’s what it looks like on Windows:

iPhone

Here’s how you can delete quick dials in the Mongotel Softphone app on iOS devices.

Step 1: Tap “Quickdial.”

Step 2: Tap “EDIT.”

Step 3: Tap the X icon on the quick dial.

Step 4: Tap “Delete.”

Android

Here’s how you can delete quick dials in the Mongotel Softphone app on Android devices.

Step 1: Tap the quick dial icon.

Step 2: Tap the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the screen.

Step 3: Tap “Edit mode.”

Step 4: Tap the X icon on the quick dial.

Step 5 (Optional): If you deleted the wrong quick dial, quickly tap “UNDO” at the bottom of the screen.

Wrap-Up

After all that, you should no longer see the quick dial in your Contacts menu. It’s gone and gone for good, but you can always remake it from scratch if you end up wanting it back.
